One month to go for winter atlas records

There's just February now to go for us to get some of those last dots on the maps. Here's a summary of some of the species that might be possible but haven't yet been recorded by 10 km square. It doesn't include long shots, so record anything that's more unusual as well.

Bird Atlas - help for neighbours

We are doing very well for TTV coverage in the York Region. However the neighbouring region to the east (Yorkshire East) still needs some help. So if you'd like to do something in the Wolds or near the coast, you can book one on the Atlas Website.

The region is being run from Thetford as the RR post is vacant

As a guide here's what they need:

"There are still a few 10-km squares that need help:

SE84 needs at least 1 more for winter
SE85 needs more for breeding
SE95 needs more for breeding

Anyone wanting a trip to the coast could take on a couple of tetrads in TA17 - probably decent birding too! Both seasons need a top up.

If you've got anyone on the east of York that could help out that would be great."
